Our Story
Bridgeport has always had the people, the stories, and the hunger. What it hasn’t had - until now - is a room built for all three to come together.
The Bridgeport Book Festival is a free, annual celebration of books, authors, and the literary culture that has always live in this city, waiting for a stage. We’re not bringing something new to Bridgeport. We’re making visible what’s already here.

A free, shared gathering that brings neighbors, schools, libraries, and small businesses together around something other than need.

A front door into literary culture for families and students who don’t have easy access to author events, book fairs, or publishing pathways.
